Print Calibration
A good proxy starts with a printer that prints at the right size. A real Magic card is 63.5mm wide and 88.9mm tall (2.5 by 3.5 inches). If your printer quietly scales the page, your cards come out a touch too small or too large and never sit right in a sleeve. This is placeholder copy you can edit later.
Calibration basics
- 1 Turn off any "fit to page" or "scale to fit" option and print at exactly 100 percent.
- 2 Set the page size to match your paper, Letter or A4, so nothing gets resized for you.
- 3 Print a test card, then measure it with a ruler. It should read 63.5mm by 88.9mm.
- 4 If it is off, nudge the print scale up or down by a percent or two and print again until it measures true.
- 5 Save those settings so every future print run starts from the same known good baseline.
