Get paid to share how you make MTG proxies. A paid hobby for savvy proxy makers.
We're looking for someone who actually makes MTG proxies and enjoys it, and wouldn't mind getting paid a little to share how they do it. Think of this less as a job and more as a paid hobby. If you like dialing in print settings, trying out different cardstock, and cutting clean corners, we'd love your help building out the guides and reviews here.
What you'd be doing
- Full guides: start-to-finish how-tos on making MTG proxies.
- Product reviews: cardstock, corner cutters, guillotines, laminators, sleeves, whatever's worth talking about.
- Site testing: try something out and tell us how it actually performs in the real world.
What it pays
- Full guide: $50 each, plus we cover the supplies you need to make it.
- Product review: $20 each.
- Site testing: $20, plus a free order (we cover the cost).
And when it makes sense, we'll finance supplier orders too. If there's a cardstock or tool worth putting through its paces, we'll sort out getting it for you.
What we cover
To keep it easy, we'll refund the cost of the items you buy to make and test proxies, things like:
- Cardstock and paper
- Corner cutters
- Guillotines and trimmers
- Basically the materials and tools you need to actually make and test proxies
The one thing we won't cover is a printer, obviously lol. You'll need your own, or access to someone who has one. Printing is the heart of it, so that part's on you.
Who this is for
You don't need to be a professional writer. If you can clearly explain how you make a good proxy (and you actually do it), that's what matters. A savvy proxy maker who wants to turn the hobby into a little side income is exactly who we're after.
