Welcome to MagicProxies. This site was created to help make casual Magic play more affordable, more creative, and easier to understand. Our goal is to give players useful guides, reviews, resources, and community knowledge about MTG proxies, proxy printing, card-making tools, paper, printers, shops, and related topics.

Magic is an expensive hobby. Not everyone can afford every deck, every staple, every commander upgrade, or every card they want to test. MagicProxies exists to support casual players, kitchen-table players, playtesters, collectors of custom designs, and people who simply want to enjoy the game without needing to spend unreasonable amounts of money.

By using this website, you agree to the terms below.

1. What MagicProxies Is

MagicProxies is an independent community resource and information website. We publish articles, tutorials, reviews, comparisons, guides, opinions, and community-submitted content about proxies and proxy-related tools.

We are big fans of the r/magicproxies community, and much of what makes proxy making great starts there. To be clear, we are not the official subreddit, nor do we represent it. Think of MagicProxies as a more organized, easier to navigate companion to it: the same community spirit, structured into clear guides, rankings, and resources so you can quickly find what you need instead of digging through scattered threads.

MagicProxies does not sell official Magic cards. MagicProxies does not sell counterfeit cards. MagicProxies does not claim that proxies are official tournament-legal cards. The purpose of this site is educational, informational, community-based, and focused on casual play.

We are not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, Reddit, Scryfall, Cardmarket, TCGplayer, EDHREC, or any other company, marketplace, brand, creator, or platform mentioned on this website unless clearly stated otherwise.

All card names, trademarks, artwork, logos, product names, brands, screenshots, and other referenced materials belong to their respective owners.

2. Our Goal

The goal of MagicProxies is to help people play more Magic, test more decks, discover more formats, and enjoy the game in a way that is financially realistic.

We believe proxies can be useful for:

  • Casual play with friends
  • Commander nights and kitchen-table games
  • Deck testing before buying real cards
  • Trying expensive cards before committing money
  • Making custom cards for personal use
  • Learning about printing, paper, sleeves, and card quality
  • Helping new players access the game more easily

We do not encourage anyone to lie about proxies, sell proxies as real cards, scam buyers, break tournament rules, or misrepresent unofficial cards as official products.

3. Casual Play Only

MagicProxies is pro-proxy for casual, honest, personal, and community-approved use. If you are playing with proxies, you should be clear with your playgroup, store, event organizer, or tournament staff.

Different groups have different rules. Some people are fine with proxies. Some groups allow only cards you own. Some stores allow test cards during casual nights. Some events do not allow proxies at all.

You are responsible for making sure your use of proxies is acceptable in your own play environment.

4. Fair Use, Commentary, and Educational Use

MagicProxies may reference third-party copyrighted or trademarked materials for purposes such as commentary, education, review, criticism, comparison, research, community discussion, news, and practical guides.

We aim to use referenced materials in a way that respects fair use principles where applicable. However, fair use depends on context and may vary by country, platform, and specific situation.

Nothing on MagicProxies should be treated as legal advice. The content on this website is provided for general information, commentary, education, and community discussion only.

5. Images, Artwork, Screenshots, and Visual Content

Images on MagicProxies may include community-submitted images, screenshots, product images, Reddit images, tutorial images, card-related visuals, tool previews, shop examples, printer examples, paper comparisons, and other reference material.

All images, artwork, screenshots, logos, designs, card images, and visual materials remain the property of their respective owners unless clearly stated otherwise.

MagicProxies does not claim ownership over third-party artwork, official card images, brand logos, screenshots, or community images created by someone else.

When we use visual content, we try to use it in a way that supports education, commentary, review, comparison, criticism, or community documentation. If an image is submitted by a community member, we will try to credit that person clearly when possible.

6. Community Content and Credits

MagicProxies is built around community knowledge. Many useful proxy guides, printer tests, paper comparisons, shop reviews, and tool recommendations come from players sharing their own experience.

If you help create content for MagicProxies, submit a guide, provide images, share testing results, send corrections, or allow us to use your work as a source, we will try to credit you properly.

Credit may include your name, username, website, Reddit profile, social profile, creator page, or another public link you provide. If you prefer a specific credit format, tell us before publication or contact us afterward.

If we publish content inspired by your work and the credit is missing, unclear, or incorrect, contact us and we will review it.

By submitting content to MagicProxies, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not intentionally violate someone else's rights.

You also give MagicProxies permission to edit, format, publish, display, promote, archive, and update the submitted content on the website. We may make edits for clarity, grammar, formatting, readability, SEO, safety, or structure while trying to preserve the meaning of your contribution.

7. Comments and User Submissions

Users may be able to post comments, submit articles, suggest resources, upload images, or participate in community discussions.

You are responsible for anything you submit to MagicProxies. Do not submit content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, threatening, misleading, defamatory, spammy, malicious, or intentionally false.

Do not post stolen content, private information, malware, scam links, fake reviews, counterfeit sales claims, or anything designed to deceive other users.

We may edit, reject, hide, delete, or moderate comments and submissions at our discretion, especially if they are off-topic, unsafe, abusive, spammy, legally risky, or harmful to the community.

8. Newsletter and Email Privacy

Our goal with this newsletter is simple: to build something that genuinely adds value to your reading. We want every issue to bring you something interesting and new about MTG proxy making, whether that is a fresh guide, a better printer setting, a paper worth trying, a shop worth knowing, or a community discovery you have not seen before. We would rather send something worth opening than send often for the sake of it.

MagicProxies may offer a newsletter for users who want updates about MTG proxies, proxy printing, new guides, community resources, reviews, tools, shops, and related content.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address will be used to send MagicProxies-related updates only.

We do not sell, rent, trade, distribute, or share newsletter email addresses with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our goal is to send a simple newsletter about once per week. The newsletter may include new articles, useful guides, proxy printing tips, community highlights, tool updates, reviews, and other MTG proxy-related content.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the email or by contacting us.

We may still send important administrative emails when needed, such as account-related messages, security notices, password resets, or direct replies to support requests.

9. External Links and Third-Party Websites

MagicProxies may link to third-party websites, shops, tools, videos, Reddit posts, product pages, marketplaces, creators, communities, and other resources.

Those websites are not controlled by MagicProxies. They have their own terms, privacy policies, prices, rules, shipping times, quality standards, refund policies, and content policies.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, products, orders, delays, errors, content, or business practices.

If we review or mention a shop, tool, product, or service, that does not guarantee your experience will be identical. Prices, shipping times, quality, availability, and policies can change.

10. Reviews, Opinions, and Recommendations

MagicProxies may publish reviews, rankings, comparisons, recommendations, and opinion-based articles.

These are based on available information, community feedback, personal judgment, public sources, submitted experiences, and practical proxy-making needs.

Reviews and recommendations are not guarantees. You should always check current prices, shipping rules, product details, refund policies, and user reviews before buying anything or using a service.

Some articles may include strong opinions. That is part of useful community writing. However, we try to be fair, practical, and honest about both strengths and weaknesses.

11. Accuracy of Information

We try to keep MagicProxies useful, clear, and accurate, but proxy printing changes often.

Printer models change. Paper availability changes. Shop prices change. Shipping times change. Tariffs, customs fees, and taxes can change. Software tools and websites can update their features or policies at any time.

Because of this, we cannot guarantee that every article, guide, price, setting, image, link, review, recommendation, or technical detail will always be complete, current, or error-free.

Use the information on MagicProxies as a helpful starting point, not as a guaranteed final answer.

12. Prohibited Use

You may not use MagicProxies to:

  • Sell counterfeit cards as real cards
  • Mislead buyers or players
  • Promote scams or fraud
  • Post stolen content
  • Upload malware or harmful links
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Post private personal information
  • Impersonate another person, creator, shop, or brand
  • Break applicable laws

We may remove content or restrict access if we believe the site is being used in a harmful, deceptive, abusive, or legally risky way.

13. Account Responsibility

If MagicProxies allows user accounts, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

You are responsible for activity that happens through your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us as soon as possible.

14. Removal, Credit, and Correction Requests

If you believe content on MagicProxies uses your work incorrectly, lacks proper credit, contains inaccurate information, or should be removed, contact us.

Please include:

  • The URL of the page
  • The specific content you are contacting us about
  • Whether you want credit, correction, removal, or another change
  • Proof that you own the content or have authority to request the change, when relevant

We will review reasonable requests in good faith.

15. Limitation of Responsibility

MagicProxies is not responsible for losses, damages, failed prints, bad purchases, shipping delays, customs fees, account issues, event disqualifications, third-party service problems, or other outcomes resulting from your use of the website or information found on it.

Always make your own judgment before buying products, ordering from shops, using proxies in games, or following technical guides.

16. Contact

For rights requests, corrections, credit requests, removal requests, or general questions about these terms, contact us.

MagicProxies exists to help the MTG proxy community learn, share, test, print, and play more affordably while respecting creators, contributors, artists, and rights holders.
